5 Days Tarangire, Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Parks

Day 1: Tarangire National Park, Tanzania                              

After breakfast in your hotel in Arusha, we pick up our picnic lunch and drive to Tarangire National park. We enjoy our whole day game drive. The park runs along the Tarangire River and its vegetation consists of acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees. The Tarangire National park is reputed to contain some of the largest Elephants heard in Africa; it is also home to three rare species of animals- the greater Kudu, the fridge ear Oryx and a few Ashy sterling. Tarangire forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras.

Day 2 :  Tarangire – Serengeti National Park, Tanzania                        

Our journey starts shortly after breakfast with a scenic drive up the Rift Valley escarpment to Serengeti National Park. You will be crossing Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority and we make a brief stop at Olduvai Gorge (optional) and the museum which documents the discovery of 1.8 million year old human-like fossils. Thereafter we head for the Serengeti National Park, game driving along the way to the lodge.

Day 3 :  Serengeti National Park, Tanzania                            

Today you will enjoy a full day game viewing exploring the endless plains of this magnificent place. The Serengeti is divided into three main areas: The Seronera is the most central and accessible region and this is where the Park HQ is based, as well as most of the larger lodges and busier campsites. This is the part of the Serengeti that you will have seen in wildlife documentaries, characterised by the open plains of grassland, packed with animals. The Seronera River is the lifeblood of the Serengeti and this area is renowned for great game viewing all year round. It is also particularly good for lion and cheetah sightings, as well as the most elusive of all big cats, the leopard.

Day 4 :  Serengeti – Ngorongoro Conservation Area  

Upon the completion of your breakfast, with your boxed lunch from the lodge you will depart the lodge and take a final exploration of the amazing Serengeti National Park. After your morning Safari drive, we will head towards the Ngorongoro National park with a game en route at Ngorongoro conservation area. You will also have a chance to stop at Masai boma, a traditional Masai village (optional). Later evening, you will arrive at the edge of amazing Ngorongoro crater where is your over-night destination inside the conservation area.

Day 5 :  Ngorongoro – Arusha, Tanzania

After breakfast, we decent 600m into this magnificent crater for a morning half day game drive. Ngorongoro crater is home to an estimated 30,000 wild animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black Rhinos. The crater has a dense population of predators like the Lion, Cheetah and the elusive Leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch at the Ngoitokitok springs while watching the beautiful hippos in and out the small spring lake in the crater.  After lunch we will proceed with an afternoon game drive while we make ascend out of the crater and drive to Arusha for drop off.
